GENEVA - Indonesia blocked the East Timor opposition leader, Mr Jose Ramos Horta, from addressing the Geneva, where the Timorese resistance is pressing for firmer action against the illegal occupier in a draft resolution.
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate had been invited by the commission to speak yesterday afternoon. However, Jakarta, backed by some of its Asian and African allies, applied pressure to stop Mr Ramos Horta from giving his speech at the podium.
