Irish technology firm Horizon Technology has acquired part of eNet Systems for £815,000 sterling from the receiver PricewaterhouseCoopers.

eNet Systems was put in receivership in mid-June 2001.

Horizon has purchased certain parts of eNet Systems, which was one of Sun Microsystems's largest partners in Britain.

Revenues from this area of the business amounted to over £7.7 million in the year to March 30th, 2001.

This division also carries with it important partner relationships with Oracle, Cisco and Alteon Websystems (a division of Nortel).

The business is to be integrated into Horizon's British Internet infrastructure division.
