Honda will continue providing engines to both the Jordan and British American Racing (BAR) Formula One teams next season, technical director Kazutoshi Nishizawa said today.
His comments at a news conference ahead of Sunday's European Grand Prix ended speculation in the paddock in recent weeks suggesting Honda wanted to focus on one team.
Nishizawa said he did not understand why the rumour had started, adding: "We will supply both teams next year.
"In fact we presented our 2002 engine to both teams in Malaysia and we already have had several meetings with them.
"We never planned to drop either team."
Jordan are currently winning the competition between the two Honda-powered teams with 13 points to BAR's 12 after eight of the 17 races this season.
