High Chaparral became the 15th horse to complete the English-Irish Derby double when easily winning the Budweiser-sponsored Classic at the Curragh this afternoon.
High Chaparral, the 1-3 favourite, won from his 200-1 shot stable companion Sholokhov with Ballingarry (12-1) third to give Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien a 1-2-3 in the 1.3 million Euros prize.
It was O'Brien's third Irish Derby success and Kinane's third following Galileo 12 months ago.
