France coach Roger Lemerre has expressed serious concern about Thierry Henry's knee injury and has given him until Sunday to prove his fitness.

The Arsenal player was due to take part in a World Cup training match against the Japanese league side Urawa Reds today but was unable to play.

Henry has complained about painful ligaments in his right knee since he joined the squad in Paris last week.

"We are going to do some more tests on Sunday and, depending on the results, we will do what is necessary," Lemerre said after France's 5-1 victory today.
