Tim Henman warmed up for this month's Australian Open in the best possible fashion by winning the Australian Hardcourt Championships in Adelaide today.
The British top seed's final against home hope Mark Philippoussis was delayed by two-and-a-half hours because of rain.
But when the sun finally came out it shone on Henman as he claimed a 6-4 6-7 (8/6) 6-3 success.
The win gives Henman his ninth career title and ended a poor run of results against Philippoussis.
