Check for head lice as schools re-open

Parents are reminded to check their children's hair regularly for head lice as schools re-open this week.

Early detection can reduce the spread of infection within schools and help stem lice outbreaks before they grow into bigger problems. Parents who perform regular checks will also find the problem more manageable at home too. Hair should be treated only if live lice or unhatched eggs are present.
