Inclusion in the workplace
Is it getting better for people with an intellectual disability? This will be the theme of a talk by David Begg, general secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, later this week.

Healthy eating seminars
The College of Naturopathic Medicine is holding two seminars on healthy eating this month. The first, on Thursday at 7pm, will focus on how good nutrition is essential for children, particularly those with attention deficit disorder. The second seminar, on Thursday April 17th at 7pm, will look at how good nutrition can support parents at times of stress. Both seminars take place in Griffith College, Dublin.

Benefits of going herbal
A series of public talks on herbal medicine will take place on Saturday, April 19th at the Cork Institute of Technology, Bishopstown, Cork. The use of herbal medicine in fertility, herbal medicine and cholesterol, and herbal medicine in the treatment of attention deficit disorder are among the topics to be discussed.
Admission is €20. The talks follow a conference on Friday, April 18th, on the complexity of herbal medicine at the same venue, organised by the Irish Institute of Medical Herbalists. Tel: 021-4326885 for more details on events.
