Free talks on development of cancer
Getting to Grips with Canceris the theme of public talks tomorrow at 1pm and 6pm in the National Museum, Kildare St, Dublin. Dr Kay Nolan, senior lecturer from the School of Biology and Environmental Sciences at University College Dublin will speak about how cancer develops. Admission is free and no booking is required.
Cancer support groups meet
The annual national conference of cancer support groups will take place in Dublin Castle on February 27th and 28th. Former army officer, double amputee and inspirational speaker, Chris Moon, will talk about dealing with worry and being positive.

Crohn’s and colitis information
A new patient education programme on Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis has been added to www.crohnscolitis.ie. The programme, devised by the European Foundation of Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis Association, offers guidance for doctor or gastroenterologist visits as well as self-assessment and management plans.
Healthy eating cooking course
Keen to know how to include the high-protein grain, quinoa, in your everyday diet? Or want to learn what’s best to serve with pulses? If so, the healthy eating cooking course run by nutritionists at Positive Nutrition might be for you. The course is held in Houseworks, Upper Erne St, Dublin 2 and the first of four evening classes is on next Tuesday from 7pm – 9.30pm. Each evening costs €65.
Dublin city reading groups
Reading groups offer both social and educational outlets for all ages. For instance, Dublin City Libraries has over 100 reading groups attached to local libraries in the city.
