IF YOU DO ONE THING THIS WEEK . . . DECLUTTER YOUR HOME
Summer has just arrived, and there is no better time to tackle the clutter that has been building up in your living quarters.
If you feel overwhelmed at the mere thought of it, take on a bit at a time and identify hot spots where unused items are left taking up space. Are there books and CDs on your shelves that you can give away and not miss?
Go through your clothes – if items haven’t seen the light of day in more than two years (taking special events like pregnancy into account), donate them to a charity where they will be used.
Kitchen cupboards, hall tables and home offices are also often red-alert zones for clutter. Set aside some time
for each and some music on in the background to help keep you motivated.
And if you want to move your spring cleaning outdoors, get involved in An Taisce’s anti-litter campaign, national springclean.org
