NOMINATIONS for the BOC Gases Critical Care Nurse of the Year Award close on Friday. The award, which recognises the role of nurses in caring for critically ill patients, is run in conjunction with the Irish Nurses Organisation and the Irish Association of Critical Care Nurses. It is open to nurses working in intensive care, coronary care, neonatal special care and recovery rooms.

The winner, to be announced in April, will receive a trophy and £1,000 to be spent on continuing education.

ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) is a difficulty usually associated with children and often accompanied by hyperactivity. It often persists into adulthood and can cause problems with organisation, concentration and completion of tasks.
