Dystonia is a painful and disabling neurological movement disorder, with sufferers losing the ability to control muscles. REPETITIVE Strain Injury and how to avoid it is the subject of a public lecture in the Joly Theatre, Hamilton Building, TCD, Dublin next Friday at 7.30 p.m. "Managing Pain in the Workplace" is the title of this year's Paul Wagstaff Memorial Lecture given by David Fitzgerald, a chartered physiotherapist with a special interest in RSI. The lecture is hosted by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is free to the public.
EVENING lectures hosted by the Department of Pharmacognosy on "International Traditions of Health" continue each Monday evening until December 2nd in Room 3126, Arts Building, Trinity College at 7.30 p.m. The series of lectures describes healing traditions in Africa, Asia, South Africa and other regions.
