Prague - Czech President Vaclav Havel, who was taken to hospital with breathing difficulties yesterday, has developed pneumonia.
The 65-year-old playwright and anti-Communist dissident has suffered serious lung problems in the past.
"He feels better compared to last night," Dr Ilja Kotik said in a statement, but added that an x-ray confirmed Mr Havel had pneumonia.
