Ireland's Padraig Harrington finally ended his losing streak when he won the five million dollar Dunhill Links championship at St Andrew's today.

The Dubliner beat Argentina's Eduardo Romero on the second hole of sudden-death.

Both men had finished tied on 19-under 269 after carding a three-under 69 each.

The victory was worth $800,000 to Harrington.
