Vienna - Extreme right-wing Austrian leader, Mr Jorg Haider, said yesterday he had had a private meeting in Libya with Col Moammar Gadafy, but refused to reveal its details.
"I was on a private visit," Mr Haider told Austrian radio. "I have no intention of making all my private meetings the subject of political discussion." Austria's two opposition parties demanded that Mr Haider explain secret talks in Libya with Col Gadafy this month. The talks, reported on Saturday by two Austrian magazines and confirmed by Mr Haider's spokesman, were "extremely dubious" and required an explanation, the secretary general of the Social Democrats, Ms Doris Bures, said.
