LONDON - The British Ministry of Defence has strongly criticised London Weekend Television for a programme on an SAS Gulf War mission which it said has greatly upset families of those that died.

The programme - to be shown on Sunday night - is a dramatisation of the "Bravo Two Zero" mission behind Iraqi lines. It is based on The One That Got Away, a book by a former corporal, Mr Chris Ryan. Meanwhile Mr Andy McNab - who published his account of the raid he led in the best selling Bravo Two Zero - criticised the company for turning "fact into fiction" and for accepting Mr Ryan's version of events.
