Ajaccio - An unknown separatist group has said it carried out two recent bombings on the Mediterranean island of Corsica and threatened more attacks on the French mainland.
The group, which calls itself Clandestinu, issued a communique saying it had decided to engage in an armed struggle to force the government to address demands for autonomy on the island. It threatened to launch attacks on the mainland if its demands were not met. Twenty people were injured in the bombings.
