Greyhound Recycling and Recovery, the private waste firm that has taken over household waste collection for Dublin City Council, has brought High Court proceedings against a rival firm over allegedly collecting its bins.
Greyhound yesterday obtained permission from Mr Justice Roderick Murphy to serve short notice of injunction proceedings against Key Waste Management Ltd. The judge returned the matter to Friday and refused to grant an order in the interim restraining the alleged disputed practices due to issues related to service of legal papers on the defendants.
Greyhound is seeking orders restraining the defendants using waste bins which are Greyhound’s property for supplying waste collection to other parties. Greyhound wants an injunction restraining Key Waste representing to other parties any right to use what Greyhound claims are its bins.
