A Green Party convention to decide its position in the second Lisbon Treaty referendum as well as to discuss its dismal performance in the local and European elections is to be held on July 18th, writes Harry McGee.
When a similar convention was held in January 2008, some five months before the first Lisbon referendum, the leadership failed to garner support for a Yes vote from 66.6 per cent of its members . The parliamentary party, of six TDs and two Senators, will be urging a Yes vote.
