Greens to contest 29 constituencies

The Green Party intends to run candidates in 29 of the country's 41 constituencies in the coming general election

The Green Party intends to run candidates in 29 of the country's 41 constituencies in the coming general election. It will be the highest number of seats contested by the party.

Candidates have already been chosen in 20 constituencies. They are: Clare, Brian Meaney; Cork North Central, Jane Power; Cork South Central, Dan Boyler; Cork South West, Paula Giles; Donegal South West, Liz Cullen; Dublin Central, Ciaran Cuffe; Dublin North, Trevor Sargent TD; Dublin North Central, Steve Rawson; Dublin North East, Donna Cooney; Dublin North West, Tommy Simpson; Dublin South, Gerry Boland; Dublin South East, John Gormley; Dublin South Central, John Goodwillie; Dublin South West, Monique Federsel; Dublin West, Paul Gogarty; Dun Laoghaire, Vincent McDowell; Galway West, Pat Fitzpatrick; Kerry North, Conor Fitzgerald; Mayo, Anne Crowley and Wick low, Alex Perkins.
