London - A 54-year-old Welsh grandmother has become a mother again, 35 years after her having her first child.

Ms Elizabeth Buttle, who runs a goat farm, is the second oldest woman to give birth in Britain without using fertility drugs. Her new son, Joseph David, is now uncle to her three grandchildren who are nearly 20 years older than him.

Ms Buttle, who had a daughter in 1962, was widowed more than 10 years ago. She and her new companion, Mr Peter Royston (56), who live near Lampeter in west Wales, were stunned to learn she was pregnant.
