England fast bowler Darren Gough took his 200th test wicket with the final delivery before lunch on the fourth day of the first test at Lord's today to leave Pakistan at a precarious 203 for eight.
This leaves the tourists still 39 runs short of avoiding the follow on and 188 behind England's first innings 391.
In his 50th test the Yorkshire quick had Rashid Latif (18) well caught down the legside by wicketkeeper and England stand-in captain Alec Stewart, deputising for the injured Nasser Hussain.
Wasim Akram, in what seems certain to be his final test appearance here, was 19 not out, having stroked three fours in his 25 ball stay.
