South African Retief Goosen eased to victory in the Johnnie Walker Classic today, but his expected margin of victory was cut to eight shots after he closed with a one-over-par 73.

The U.S. Open champion finished at 14-under-par 274 on the Lake Karrinyup course, with Sweden's Pierre Fulke emerging from the pack to grab second place at six under after a final round of 66.

One shot further back in third was Spain's world number four Sergio Garcia, who shot a three-under-par 69 for a five-under total of 283.

South Africa's Ernie Els finished alone in fourth at two under, one ahead of Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin and the English pair of Anthony Wall and Simon Dyson.
