Goodman sought as witness

AN application to seek to call Mr Larry Goodman as a witness in proceedings in which he is claiming £22

AN application to seek to call Mr Larry Goodman as a witness in proceedings in which he is claiming £22.5 million from a Co Tipperary farmer is to be heard in the High Court on Monday.

Mr Joseph Kenny will be making the application to have Mr Goodman cross examined on his affidavit.

Dr Michael Forde SC, for Mr Kenny, yesterday told Mr Justice Kinlen he was anxious to cross examine Mr Goodman on his affidavit. Mr Goodman had chosen to bring the proceedings and wanted to have it dealt with in a summary way, in other words, he wanted a quick knock out.

In the action, Mr Garda, First ABP Holdings Ltd, Belfast, UK registered Second Anglo Beef Processors Ltd and Gemon Ltd, are claiming that money advanced under a loan to Mr Kenny in March 1990, which was due to be repaid before June 13th, 1990, was still owed.
