A CO DUBLIN girl died from severe head injuries after being struck by a car while leaving an ice cream van in a Swords housing estate, an inquest heard yesterday.

Seven year old Tina Warde, of Highfield Downs, Swords, was emerging from the rear of the parked van with ice cream after queueing up with other children on April 17th. She died of severe head injuries four days later in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital.

The inquest jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
