A GIRL agreed on the third day of her father's incest trial yesterday that she made a statement in 1992 claiming "Daddy did bad things" to her.
Replying to prosecution counsel, Mr Joseph Mathews SC, via the video link system, the 13 year old Monaghan girl accepted that everything in a statement made to a garda on March 30th, 1992, was true.
Earlier, Mr Justice Geoghegan told the jury he was allowing Mr Mathews to cross examine the girl on alleged statements she had made.
The accused man has pleaded not guilty to 11 charges of rape, unlawful carnal knowledge, buggery and sexual assault of the girl in the period 1987-1991 when she was aged between five and nine.
He also denies two charges of buggery and indecent assault of his son, now aged 14, on dates between 1988 and 1990.
In the statement, read to the Central Criminal Court by Mr Mathews, the girl (then aged nine) alleged that a second man had also done a "bad thing" to her and that her grandfather had once put his hands down her trousers.
She also claimed that on one occasion in a bedroom, her "Daddy" took down both their trousers. He threatened to slap her if she did not rub him.
In a further alleged incident, he had made her perform oral sex. He also tried to bugger her and to have sexual intercourse with her.
She continued that she was happy "daddy" did not live in the home any more and she did not want him back as he used to hit her on the legs with a stick and tell her to go out and work.
