An 11-year-old schoolgirl, who was hit in the mouth by a football while she watched an indoor match, has been awarded just under £11,000 damages against the Catholic Youth Council.
Mr Sean O hUallachain, counsel for Jennifer McAuley, of Thatch Road, Whitehall, Dublin, told the Circuit Civil Court she was attending a summer camp when the accident happened. He told Circuit Court President, Mr Justice Esmonde Smyth, the football broke two of her front teeth.
