German security officials acting on therequest of the United States have arrested two Yemenicitizens suspected of links to the al-Qaeda network.
A Germananti-terrorism official said: "They are linked in a more general way with supporting al-Qaeda, but not directly with September 11."
No other details were available, and USofficials in Berlin declined comment.
