A new set of guidelines aimed at achieving greater gender equality in local development has been issued by ADM (Area Development Management Ltd), the company set up by the Government to co-ordinate an EU funded programme of local urban and regional development.
Ms Anastasia Crickley chairwoman of ADM's equality committee, said the programme could not be judged as a success "unless it has actively promoted the inclusion of women in all its spheres as participants, staff and managers.
