Gardaí will in the coming days outline the traffic restrictions to be faced by motorists during the forthcoming visits of England's Queen Elizabeth and US president Barack Obama.
Garda Chief Superintendent Gabriel McIntyre of the Garda Traffic Corps today acknowledged that there would be "inconvenience" for people during the events. But he said they would be set out in detail in order to allow people make alternative arrangements or to use public transport.
There would be road closures, but they would be limited to a “small number of hours”.
The queen will arrive for her four-day visit on May 17th, while Mr Obama arrives just several days later on May 22nd.
