Gardaí in Dublin are seeking witnesses to a serious assault in the city that left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
The incident occurred shortly before 10.30pm last Friday outside the Irish Life Mall building on Lower Abbey Street when two men, one in his late twenties and the other in his early thirties, became inolved in an altercation.
The man in his late twenties sustained serious injuries and was removed to the Mater Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
Gardaí are particularly interested in hearing from any witnesses that may have been in the vicinity of Lower Abbey Street between 10.15pm and 10.30pm on Friday. There was a number 33 bus on Lower Abbey Street at the time of the incident with passengers on board who may have witnessed the altercation.
