Gardaí in Clare are today attempting to identify the body of a man that was recovered from the sea at the Cliffs of Moher and may have been in the water for up to three weeks.
The partially clothed body was spotted at around 6pm by two French tourists who were walking along the 700 foot high cliffs close to O’Brien’s Tower.
Members of the Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard were alerted, and the body was recovered at around 7pm last night.
Gardaí believe the man was in his late 20s to early 30s.
