Gardaí in Dublin are seeking assistance in identifying two men whose bodies were found separately along the sea shore last weekend.

The first body was found on rocks off East Pier, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin by a walker on Sunday afternoon.

The man is described as being in his late 30s or early 40s. He is 5' 7" tall, of slim build with fair/ginger hair.

He was wearing a dark blue jumper, blue shirt with a white check pattern and beige trousers. He wore black moccasin shoes with laces and heavy rubber soles.

A post mortem has been carried out and foul play has been ruled out.

The body remains at the mortuary at St Colmcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin.

A body of a man in his late 40s to early 50s was also found the same afternoon by the crew of a ship entering Dublin Port.

The body was found floating in the bay in the main shipping channel. It was removed by the Garda water unit to the city morgue.

He is described as around 15 stone, grey hair and slightly stocky build. He was wearing a green sweatshirt with a Lyons tea logo and grey trousers and black shoes.
