Gardaí in Dublin have again appealed for the public's assistance in their investigation into the murder of a man in Dublin last month.

Jason Martin died following a brawl in a car park at a pub on Park West Road, Ballyfermot in the early hours of Sunday September 27th.

Gardaí said today the investigating team was appealing for information, especially from taxi drivers who may have picked up or seen anything suspicious in the Park West area of Ballyfermot on the night of the 26th into the early hours of the 27th of September 2009.

"They are particularly keen to talk to any taxi drivers working in this area who may have dropped any person suffering from injuries to Hospital and /or to any address. This includes any person that may have been referring to the incident at Park West that night," a Garda statement said.

Two gangland factions in the Ballyfermot area are believed to have been involved in the row.

When gardaí arrived at the scene, they found up to 20 people involved in the disturbance. They were carrying a variety of weapons such as knives, broken glasses and broken bottles.

Four people were arrested at the scene under the Public Order Act but were released the next day. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Mr Martin was found by gardaí near steps which led down to the car park. He was taken to Tallaght hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
