Gardaí investigating the activities of dissident republicans were today questioning two men. A third man who had been arrested was released early today.
The men were arrested last night after firearms and ammunition were seized duringa number of searches.
Officers from the Special Detective Unit had been monitoring the behaviour ofseveral people and searched a hotel apartment in Dublin and a number of premisesin the midlands.
The two men were being held in Dublin under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
