Gardai have identified the woman who was killed when her bicycle was in collision with a lorry on Dublin's O'Connell Bridge yesterday evening.
However, a Garda spokesman said she would not be named until tomorrow as her family was travelling to Ireland this evening from abroad. The dead woman is a foreign national.
According to a Garda on the scene yesterday, the woman was hit by a truck as she crossed from Burgh Quay towards Aston Quay.
A man, driving a moped was also involved in the incident but was uninjured. He is being treated for shock in St James's Hospital. The truck driver was also treated for shock.
Last June, another cyclist, Ms Olivia Potterton (36) was killed in a similar incident after a collision with a lorry just yards away from yesterday's scene.
