Gardaí investigating the murder of a Chinese woman in Bray, Co Wicklow last week have appealed for a taxi driver to come forward.
The driver took two Chinese men in their early 20s from Blackrock, Co Dublin to Tara Street, in Dublin city centre, last Friday between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Gardaí say the taxi was a "people carrier" with a taxi sign on the roof. It is believed that the driver may have given his business card to one of the passengers.
The body of Ms Wang Xiang Yi (21) was found by a passer-by on Friday. It was lying face up close to some trees in a popular walking area close to an industrial estate in Bray.
She had been living in Bray for some time, while studying English at a college in Dublin. The results of a post mortem examination on her body found that she died of multiple stab wounds.
Garda sources said the attack was particularly vicious and said MS Xiang Yi's belongings, bag and books were found scattered close to her body.
On Saturday a 22-year-old man, a Chinese national, was arrested in the Bray area. He was held at Bray Garda Station under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He was later released without charge and a file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Anybody who can assist the Garda in its investigations is asked to contact Detectives at Bray, by telephoning 01 6665300.
