A former garda who claimed she was bullied out of the force by her superiors and colleagues has settled her High Court action for damages.
Christine Anne Kehoe, who had been stationed at Wexford station and Glynn station, also Wexford, between 1979 and 1996, had brought the action for alleged reckless infliction of emotional suffering, intimidation and defamation against the Garda Commissioner, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform and the Attorney General.
She also sought declarations the defendants had wrongfully repudiated her contract of employment. The claims were denied.
Ms Kehoe had claimed the defendants permitted colleagues to harass, mock, bully and undermine her while she served at both stations. She also alleged she was treated in an unequal manner, isolated and put under pressure in the performance of her duties.
After several days at hearing, Mr Justice Sean Ryan was told the matter had been settled. No details were disclosed and the judge struck the case out with no order.
