A Garda investigation has begun into the death of a seven-year-old girl who collapsed en route to hospital in Donegal.
The young girl, who has not been named, was being taken to Letterkenny General Hospital for treatment last Tuesday and was pronounced dead the following evening.
A post-mortem by the Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, last night proved inconclusive, and further tests are to be carried out today.
The young girl's home in Letterkenny has been sealed off for forensic examination.
