Garda Superintendent Kevin Lennon has lost his High Court bid get the State to pay for his legal representation at the Morris Tribunal.

Superintendent Lennon is the subject of allegations of Garda corruption in Donegal being investigated by the Morris Tribunal.

The President of the High Court, Mr Justice Finnegan, said that on the information available to him, it seemed that he should not grant the application for an interlocutory injunction against the Garda Commissioner and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform under which they would pay his costs at the tribunal pending a full hearing.

The Judge adjourned the case for mention to March 24th. If anything else was outstanding on March 24th in preparation for the hearing, he would give directions in relation to those matters. If the case was ready to go ahead, he would give a date for hearing.
