The Garda have issued an appeal for information regarding a missing schoolgirl from Northern Ireland believed to be in the Republic.

The PSNI asked for Garda assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 14 year-old Sinead Farrelly from Belfast. She was last seen at a house in the Donegall Road area of west Belfast last Saturday.

Police in the North believe she may have since travelled south of the border.

Sinead is 5'5", with blue eyes and shoulder length hair with blonde streaks. When last seen she was wearing blue jeans with a white belt, blue and white cardigan with the word 'ITALIA' on the back.
