Gardaí investigating the murder of a 42-year-old father of five shot dead on a quiet country road near Blarney in Co Cork last week have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Gardaí said they are looking for a green Ford Transit van that was in the Birchhill area of Grenagh between 3.30pm to 4pm on Thursday February 10th last.
A spokesman said at some stage the van would have been in the vicinity of Birchhill House and they are keen to speak to the driver and/or occupants of the van as potential witnesses in the case.

Pakie Hogan was gunned down on the Glen Road between Grenagh and Waterloo outside Blarney at around 3.45pm on February 10th.
Mr Hogan was buried on Monday at St Senan’s Cemetery in Tower outside Blarney after requiem mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Blarney. He is survived by his partner, Kathleen and children Laura, Stephanie, Nicola, Noreen and baby, Pakie.
