Gardaí investigating the death of a young man from head injuries in Wexford have appealed for witnesses.

Gardaí investigating the death of a young man from head injuries in Wexford have appealed for witnesses.

Michael Connors (21), Cluain Dara, Clonard, Wexford, was taken to hospital after an incident at Belvedere Grove in the town on the night of June 29th.

He was later transferred from Wexford General Hospital to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he died last Friday.

Deputy State Pathologist Dr Khalid Jabbar carried out a postmortem examination yesterday.

The results confirmed Mr Connors died as a result of head injuries.

Gardaí in Wexford have asked for anyone who has any information about the incident to contact them.

They are specifically asking residents of Belvedere Grove or anyone who was in the area shortly before midnight on June 29th to contact them.
