Sergio Garcia, four shots behind with only four holes to play, won the Lancome Trophy in Paris in remarkable fashion today.
With the title seemingly in the bag, defending champion Retief Goosen watched as the 21-year-old Spaniard sank three 15-foot birdie putts in a row.
And when he himself three-putted the 17th, missing from only four feet, they were suddenly level.
Garcia was 15 feet away again at the 209-yard last but this time did not need to hole after the South African pulled his tee shot into sand and arrived to find it in a plugged lie.
He splashed out 18 feet past and his putt for par horseshoed out of the hole, giving Garcia the two putts for victory which he duly took.
The world number seven, twice a winner on the US Tour this season, finished with a 65 for an 18-under-par total of 266.
Goosen was second and fellow South African Jean Hugo third.
