A couple in their seventies were tied up and robbed in their home in Newcastle, Co Down, last night.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) spokeswoman said the man was returning to his house in Knocksticken, Clough, at about 9.30 p.m. after walking his dog when four men confronted him.
They pushed him through the door and forced him to sit in a chair in the kitchen. The man's wife was also pushed into a chair and the pair were then tied up.
The gang ransacked the house, escaping with an amount of cash.
