A funeral service for one of the two Polish men murdered in Dublin last month is to take place in his home town of Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski today.
Pawel Kalite (29) died in hospital after being stabbed, along with his friend Marius Szwajkos (27), on Benbulben Road in Drimnagh on February 23rd.
Mr Kalite's body was cremated at Mount Argus cemetery in Dublin last week and was flown back to Poland for a burial service today.
The ceremony is to be attended by the Irish ambassador to Poland, Declan O'Donavan, and Drimnagh parish priest Fr Martin Cosgrove, who both attended the funeral of Mr Szwajkos in Szczucin, about 120km from Krakow, last weekend.
A 17-year-old boy charged with the murder of Mr Kalite was today further remanded in custody by the Children's Court pending the preparation of the book of evidence.
