Paris - Bad weather hampered efforts yesterday to restore power to some 530,000 homes left without electricity since last week's storms in France, as Britain shipped in generators used in millennium celebrations.
"We have already sent 50 generators over there [in France] and we are in the process of sending a further 60 which include ones used at the Millennium Dome," a spokesman for London Electricity said.
One of the generators came from a New Year's party at the home of comedian Rowan Atkinson.
