Paris - About 85 per cent of flights to and from French airports are likely to be affected when air traffic controllers stage a one-day strike Monday, the country's civil aviation authority (DGAC) said yesterday. The strike, which is over EU plans for the sector's future, is also likely to affect 50 per cent of flights originating outside France but flying through French airspace, a DGAC official said. "We will provide the legally required minimum service on June 26th. On some routes there may no flights at all if there is alternative transport, for example those routes where high-speed TGV trains are available," he added.
