Catlin was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin on the day of the fire but died this evening.

A man appeared in court today charged with the attack. Mr Patrick Slattery of 15 Garryglass Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston was remanded in custody until Thursday. The court heard he made no reply when charged by gardaí with arson.
