Four men charged in connection with the discovery of an explosives haul in Howth, Co Dublin, last January were further remanded until May 26th at the Special Criminal Court yesterday. Mr Eamonn Flanagan (42), of The Square, Skerries, Mr Seamus McLoughlin (66), of Balkill Park, Howth, and Mr Michael Blount (48), of Bath Road, Balbriggan, are charged with having an explosive substance with intent to endanger life at West Pier, Howth, Co Dublin, on January 5th.

Mr Joseph Dillon (52), of Green Lawn, Skerries, is charged with having an explosive substance with intent to endanger life at Golflinks Road, Bettystown, Co Meath, on January 5th. Mr Flanagan is also charged with IRA membership on January 5th.

The men were remanded on continuing bail until May 26th.
